Title: [Rahu Kalum Calculator]
Rahu Kalam is one of the 8 segments of the day which is considered to be an inauspicious period in Hindu Vedic astrology.
The segments are calculated by taking the total time between sunrise and sunset, at a given place, and then dividing this time duration by 8.
Rahu Kalam is the timeframe which should be avoided to begin a new enterprise or project.
It usually takes about 60-90min and the timeframe changes each day according to astrological calculations.
I created this artwork thinking about a possible/fictional existence of a Rahu Kalam calculator as a physical device.
The 8 arms of the middle means the 8 divisions in the daylight time.
The information would come downwards through the zigzag of springs.
The pendant is like a sword
