What if Dr. Caligari’s cabinet was a tools cabinet instead of a chamber?
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is a 1920 German silent horror film directed by Robert Wiene and written by Hans Janowitz and Carl Mayer. A perfect example of early German Expressionist cinema, it tells the story of a hypnotist who uses a somnambulist, Cesare, kept in a cabinet-like chamber, to commit murders.
The artwork may be displayed on a pedestal with its back against a wall, resulting in a focused 180-degree presentation (View 1) or as a freestanding sculpture, allowing a full 360-degree viewing experience (View 2)
